Throughout the weekend, each haunted house/Pit sponsor will receive up to (5) minutes to bring their characters on stage to deliver a promo for their attraction. We will assist them in picking a ticket prize winner for (2) tickets to their respective attraction during the 2024 season! The tickets to enter this contest are FREE and one will be offered per attendee at the side of the stage.

This will be an open to the public event and our production team will choose (20) players to compete in a 30-minute version of this popular game show. 12:15 PM Relay Race Part 1 (Olympics)
This is the first part of the olympic events, exclusive to those haunted houses/sponsors in the Pit. There will be (4) events in this round and Pit haunts will be offered the opportunity to assemble a team of (4) players. Other than a slider component, the events will not be skill-based, but fun and whimsical. Points will be awarded to the top three teams based on course finish time.

This is the second part of the olympic events exclusive to those haunted houses/sponsors in the Pit. Similar to part 1, there will be (4) events in this round and Pit haunts will be offered the opportunity to assemble a team of (4) players. No sliding this time, but the events will continue not to be skill-based except for a final/ending puzzle. The focus again is on fun and entertainment. Points will be awarded to the top three teams based on course finish time.

2:15 PM Devilish Dating Game – Casted
This is more of a skit/sketch based off of the classic game show, “The Dating Game.” It will feature (3) male “suitors” in costume/character trying to win the favor of a non-costumed bachelorette and then (3) female “suitors” in costume/character trying to win the favor of a non-costumed bachelor. We will have a host that will ask questions and our blindfolded contestants (who are taking the game seriously) will not know that those answering are a little… different. 3:15 PM Screamin’ Hot Sauce Challenge – Open to All
Ever see the show “Hot Ones” on YouTube? This is our version. First conceptualized at MHC in 2021, this event takes lucky contestants on a voyage through progressively increasing Scoville units of hot sauce. Come see them cry and beg for mercy, as this is strictly for entertainment. Similar to the Family Feud, it won’t be a part of the olympic events, but open to everyone. 4:40 PM Creepy Creative Costume, Make-Up, & Dance Challenge (Olympics)
This is an olympic event and exclusive to those in the Pit. Each haunt will be able to assemble a team of (3) people to compete in this event. The first team member will receive the same “canvas” and have (15) minutes using their own tool kit and tricks to distress, alter, decorate, and harness their skills to make a costume for their model. Then, the second team member will have (15) minutes to assemble the costume on the model/third team member) and complete the look with make-up and paint. Finally, the models will line up backstage and then have to strut their stuff for the crowd during a dance/runway showdown! Points will be awarded to the top three teams based on a panel of judges. BUT, crowd applause will be taken into consideration.

11:15 AM Public Costume Contest – Open to All
Not an olympic event, this is open to the public. Join us as your favorite ghoulish costume or as your haunted house character for our First Annual ECHC Costume Contest and compete for fun and prizes! All ages welcome! A prize bag full of horrific goodies will be awarded to the winner in the Adult Category (18 & up), Teen Category (12-17) and Kids Category (11 & under). THERE IS NO PRE-REGISTRATION: Contestants should start assembling beside the stage starting 15 minutes prior to the event. Winners will be decided by a panel of judges.

An olympic event exclusive to the haunted attractions of the Pit, haunts will choose their best team of (5) people to work together in order to overcome the odds and be victorious! Which team will finish the fastest? Find out LIVE! Points will be awarded to the top three teams based on finish time.

2:10 PM FansOnly Competition Review and Judging (Olympics)
An olympic event exclusive to the haunted attractions of the Pit, haunts will assemble and create a “dating profile” page using a character from or inspired by their haunted attraction. Then, the profile will be presented LIVE on stage for the crowd to decide the winner! Profiles will be previewed by production staff before the live presentation and no nudity will be allowed. (This is a family show…) Points will be awarded to the top three teams based on a panel of judges. BUT, crowd applause will be taken into consideration.
2:45 PM Haunt Olympic Awards
Of course, we wouldn’t put these haunters through all this fun if we didn’t have some hardware to take home. When the dust settles, there will officially be bragging rights and tangible trophies (courtesy of Ghost Ride Productions) to take home for the haunted attractions that end up in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
2:55 PM Grand Prize Ticket Giveaway
As our final stage event, attendees that received their free ticket giveaway entry will get one more chance to win – and this time for (2) tickets to each of the (19) attractions in the Pit! This is truly the grand prize of them all!
