Daytime Haunt Tour

During their afternoon tour of Legends of the Fog, East Coast Haunters Convention attendees will have the opportunity to play the roles of off-the-street customers and haunt industry insiders. From the customer’s perspective, they will experience two LIVE lights-out indoor attractions: the Slaughterhouse and the Farewell Hotel, featuring a ride in our proprietary Hellevator. Haunters are notoriously hard to scare, but we have a few tricks and treats up our sleeves to keep them entertained. As industry insiders, they will be granted behind-the-scenes access to our midway and backstage areas, as well as a guided daytime tour of the Haunted Hayride.

Legends of the Fog was conceived by the Barberry family in 2006 as a potential source of supplemental income for their primary business, Aldino Sod Farms. There were no buildings, roads, or infrastructure to start the attraction, but a single pole barn for the last stop on the hayride wasn’t a bad place to start. Over the course of 17 seasons, Legends of the Fog has grown from just one hayride attraction into a 40 acre footprint including two indoor haunted houses, a corn maze, and an extensive haunted hayride, now featuring 4 buildings. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic threatened to shut the haunt down, but the Barberrys launched a drive-thru haunted attraction that drew international attention and a feature spot on The Today Show. The haunt is back to its usual format now, but every year there’s something new to wow visitors, returning and new, to Legends of the Fog.
